Where Your Support Takes Root.
Discover the projects and programmes at the heart of Muslim Charity's work around the world
From emergency relief to long-term development, Muslim Charity works across some of the world's most underserved communities. Our projects span healthcare, clean water, child protection, food security, and social justice, each one carefully designed to create dignified, lasting change for the people who need it most.
We believe that real impact goes beyond a one-time intervention. That's why our programmes are built around sustainable, community-led solutions that address the root causes of poverty and injustice, not just the symptoms. Whether we are sinking a water well in a remote village, supporting survivors of modern slavery, or delivering emergency aid to families caught in conflict, every project is guided by the same commitment — to serve with care, integrity, and purpose.
Here in the UK and across the globe, our work is made possible by the dedication of our volunteers, partners, and supporters. Below you'll find the causes we are currently working on, and the difference that work is making on the ground. We invite you to explore each project, understand the need behind it, and see how together we are turning compassion into action.

Homelessness Project
Since 2017, we have been supporting homeless communities across Manchester throughout the winter months. Volunteers regularly distribute warm, freshly prepared meals to people sleeping rough, offering nourishment and relief during freezing conditions.
-

MC Cycles
Based in Whitechapel, East London, MC Cycles is a community cycling hub offering expert bike repairs, a Moroccan-themed café, and a vibrant cycling club open to all. Every purchase supports Muslim Charity's humanitarian work around the world.
-

Tackling Social Isolation
Through regular activities at our Community Hubs we bring people together and help individuals reconnect. We also partnered with Bassetlaw District Council to install 'Happy to Chat' benches to encourage social interaction among residents. No one should face life alone.

Ambulances
In many of the communities we serve, emergency medical care is out of reach simply because there is no way to get there. We provide ambulances to under-resourced areas, ensuring that when a medical emergency strikes, people have access to timely transport and care. These vehicles serve entire communities, saving lives that would otherwise be lost to distance and delay.
-
Baby Care Home
In communities where poverty and instability leave newborns and infants without adequate care, our Baby Care Home programme provides a safe, nurturing environment for vulnerable babies. Children in the programme receive medical attention, nutrition, and the dedicated care they need in their most critical early months, supported by trained staff committed to their wellbeing.
-
Children of Brothels
Across some of the world's most marginalised communities, children born into brothel environments face a childhood defined by exploitation, poverty, and exclusion. We work to reach these children with education, safe shelter, and long-term support. Giving them the opportunity to grow up with dignity, stability, and hope for a future beyond their circumstances.
-

Feed the Hungry
Food insecurity affects millions of people across the regions where we work. Through our feeding programmes, we provide regular, nutritious meals to individuals and families living in poverty; from daily community kitchens to emergency food distribution in crisis zones. No one should go to bed hungry, and this programme works to make that a reality for as many people as possible.
-

Gaza Emergency
The humanitarian situation in Gaza continues to be one of the most urgent crises in the world. We are working on the ground to deliver essential aid to families caught in the conflict, including food, medical supplies, and emergency relief. Our focus is on reaching those most affected; families, children, and the elderly, with the practical support they need to survive and endure.
-
Safe Delivery
Complications during childbirth remain one of the leading causes of death for women and newborns in low-income regions. Our Safe Delivery programme works to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes by supporting healthcare facilities with the training, equipment, and resources, helping to protect both mother and child at their most vulnerable moment.
-

United Against Slavery
Modern slavery and human trafficking continue to devastate lives across the globe. Muslim Charity's United Against Slavery programme works to identify, support, and rehabilitate survivors of trafficking and forced labour, while also working within communities to raise awareness and prevent exploitation before it occurs. Every person deserves to live free from coercion and abuse.
-
Water Wells
In remote and underserved regions, we construct permanent water wells that provide entire villages with a reliable, safe source of drinking water. These wells reduce the burden on families, particularly women and children, who would otherwise walk hours each day in search of water, and help prevent the waterborne diseases that devastate communities living without sanitation.
Ready to make a difference?
Many of our projects rely on the generous support of people like you to keep running. Whether you'd like to fundraise, organise a community collection, or explore other ways to contribute, we'd love to hear from you.
Tell us in the comments which projects resonate with you and how you'd like to help. Every contribution, no matter the size, goes directly towards the communities and causes that need it most.
If you're interested in volunteering your time rather than fundraising, visit our Volunteer Roles page to explore the opportunities available to you. The international volunteering programme will begin in 2027, however these roles often require specific experience, so may not be suitable for everyone.
